Mailed cheques resume for social programs
The mailing of monthly social programs cheques, interrupted by the Canada Post strike, has resumed and cheques are now being sent out on schedule.
Effective immediately, cheques for the following programs will be mailed directly to clients:
- Social Assistance
- AccessAbility Supports
- Seniors Hearing Aid Rebate Program
- At Home Caregiver Benefit
- Child Care Subsidy
- Seniors Independence Initiative
Clients no longer need to visit a regional office to pick up their cheque and are encouraged to:
- Ensure their mailing address is up to date and contact their support coordinator if they have moved.
- Sign up for direct deposit for faster, secure payments.
- Speak to their support coordinator if they have questions or need assistance.
